So Thong, Farewell: Cosmo Declares The G-String Dead (POLL)

Somebody break the news to Sisqo: the thong is dead. The February issue of Cosmo contains a eulogy for the cheek-less undies, claiming that sales have dipped "lower than the hipster jeans that were designed to expose them." OBAMA: SHIFT $ 30 BILLION FROM TARP FUNDS TO COMMUNITY BANKS

President Barack Obama used his State of the Union address to unveil a plan to get billions of dollars out of the highly unpopular TARP bank-bailout program and into the hands of small businesses.
The president said he wants to "take $30 billion of the money Wall Street banks have repaid and use it to help community banks give small businesses the credit they need to stay afloat."
Obama also called for a new small business tax credit that would help over one million small businesses "who hire new workers or raise wages"; the elimination of all capital gains taxes on small business investment; and a new tax incentive for "all businesses, large and small, to invest in new plants and equipment." ......

Anoter Democrat Makes Push To (Potentially) End The Filibuster

Another Democratic senator is making a legislative push that could alter the use of the filibuster, this time by trying to give senators more authority to change the parliamentary rules that bind their actions.
Sen. Tom Udall (D-N.M.) introduced a resolution on Monday that would give the Senate the ability to vote on its own rules and regulations every two years, when a new Congress convenes. Such a resolution would mean that a future Senate body would not have to operate under the guidelines of its predecessors, such as the rule that 60 votes are needed to end debate on legislation. In short: the filibuster could be drastically changed from its current incarnation. ......
